It was a busy weekend for the U7s Head Coach, Coach Ditch! By the time he was leading the sunday morning U7s end of season session, his somewhat rouge forehead, from a saturday spent playing 7s, had faded just a little.
But few of the U7s would possibly have realised that he had spent the previous day practicing what he preaches by running into space, passing backwards and delivering the easy pass as he played his part in the Lichfield 1st team's Sevens victory in Rugeley.
It was a great day for him and both the senior men's and women's teams as they won the first round of the Staffs 7s series.
If you cut Ditch open, like a stick of rock he'd have Lichfield RUFC written through him! As one of the club's longest serving players and past captains; the U7s are a lucky bunch to have him turning his experience and love for the sport and this club to their benefit!

With the Lichfield round of the Staffs 7s being hosted on Saturday 12th of June, we would encourage the players and their families to come down and support the Lichfield senior teams along with their very own Coach Ditch (whilst observing the necessary current social distancing rules) in what should be a great day of sport at Cooke Fields.
