U12’s - Lichfield v Barkers Butts

Lichfield U12s hosted Barkers Butts on a wet and windy Sunday morning at KES.

Both sides matched each other physically, but the confidence the visiting side had to keep hold of the ball in treacherous handling conditions was the key difference on the day.

Barkers Butts were quick to exploit any gaps in the determined Lichfield defence with some excellent flowing rugby, while Lichfield preferred to kick and chase throughout the 4 x 15 min periods.

Although Lichfield struggled to keep on terms in the match at times, all the players kept playing hard until the final whistle.
