Cracking bonus-point win for Lichfield!

1st half tries from Tom Day and Matt Cowley allowed Lichfield to set a lead, with a Droitwich try reducing the deficit to 7 points, 12-5 was the half-time score, but an unfortunate boot to head incident saw first-score hero, Tom Day, sent to the bin.

The second-half saw a tremendous Charlie Milner solo effort, first crossing the line and converting his own try and then scoring a penalty, 22-5.

Shortly afterwards, Droitwich scored a converted try and the Lichfield's lead was reduced to 10 points, the score sitting at 22-12.

The next score came from Tom Day, but the conversion was missed, 27-12.

Slight indiscipline saw the Myrtle Greens reduced to 14 for a second time as Charlie Mayou was sent to the bin for 10 minutes, which would end his match, however Lichfield were not done, Tom Taylor crossed the line with a missed conversion which saw the score at 32-12, where it would finish.

Lichfield's next game for the 1st XV is home to Dudley Kingswinford, on the 19th October.
