The club are extremely pleased to announce that former Leicester Tigers, Nottingham Rugby and Romanian International, Jack Cobden, will be joining the men’s coaching staff next season as Skills Coach.
Jack, a product of the Lichfield mini and junior section, had a successful professional playing career which started at Leicester Tigers at the age of 16. A powerful and clinical winger, he represented England at U16, U18 and U20 age groups, including the U20 World Cup in Australia. Jack went on to make 99 appearances for Nottingham Rugby in the Championship, scoring 32 tries, before moving on to CSM Bucharest, scoring 22 tries in 48 appearances. Through residency, Jack went on to earn full international honours for Romania with 2 tries in his 3 international appearances.
Director of Rugby, Dan Hemingway, believes Jack will be a real asset to the coaching group “Cobs can provide some great detail from his experience in the elite game, and we hope he will have a big impact on the development of our young players across the backline, in particular our wingers and full backs. He is a great character to have around the group, and him and his whole family have Lichfield Rugby in their blood. He’s a great addition to our set up.”
Jack will work alongside Dan, and new Assistant Coach Jon Perks.
