Lichfield O2 Touch is something special with many mums and dads having fun making memories playing sport with their children!
For the first time at Lichfield RUFC, on Monday 9th September, eight teams played over four pitches due to such welcome numbers with the standard of rugby at times breathtaking. Many stand out players included Jack Hurst whose footwork and acceleration is just something else, and Henry Tonks and Isaac Oxford’s ball handling and vision saw them both score some great tries. Impressive link up play and pressure between the youngsters in green bibs leading to impressive territory gains with a few tries! And a huge welcome as always to those who joined for the first time.
And this was just the start of a great week for Lichfield O2 Touch, as a team of male and female players will be running out of the tunnel at Twickenham on Saturday!
This Saturday’s Priority O2 Touch event is in recognition of the clubs Touch Rugby success. Teams will grace Twickenham, each running out of the players tunnel to play in a mixed multi game knockout event.
Congratulations to all those representing Lichfield at this prestigious event and the very best of luck to all. Have a great day!
