A fantastic team effort by all the girls with newly converted Flanker Hannah adding two tries in her new position.

U15 Boys

Sutton Coldfield 14 – 33 Lichfield

Sunday saw the NEW Staffordshire Champions visit their local neighbours Sutton Coldfield for the first of their 2 fixtures this season.
It was great to see the whole squad in action and the coaches were really impressed with a fantastic performance from all involved.
Sutton were indeed the bigger in the forwards but Lichfield proved that mobility & fitness is key.
Although the Myrtle Green’s pack had a hard day in the scrum, they dominated around the field; hitting hard lines, continually Going Forward & winning turnover at the breakdowns.
The backs were outstanding and outplayed their opponents in all areas of the game; quick, accurate hands repeatedly saw the ball flow freely and the creativity expressed was beautiful to see.
A superb display of expansive fast flowing rugby which won the day for the travelling Myrtle Greens.

U14 Boys

U14s travelled to Stafford with a strong squad looking to secure a place in the Staffs Plate Final.
In blustery conditions Lichfield quickly took charge of the game. With accurate kicking to find touch, Lichfield made good use of numerous Stafford infringements in the rucks to gain territory.
By half-time Lichfield had a useful 21-5 lead with tries from centre Addison Tranter (2) and winger Leo Candlin.
Stafford responded strongly in the 2nd half with a very direct approach but Lichfield held firm and added a further 3 tries through Leo Candlin, Joe Wilkes (flanker) and Fraser Neenan (no8).

U13 Boys

Lichfield 10-15 Burton

As a preview to the Staffs Cup Final in 4 weeks time, both sides wanted to give game time to those who had not played much over the last few weeks and the morning proved a great success in getting lots of players minutes on the pitch.
A tight game and very evenly matched, with Burton coming out winners with a try in the final 2 mins to secure the win.

U12 Girls

Lichfield v Stoke

U12 Girls took the win after a very back and forth game, where both teams displayed fantastic core skills and values, with Stoke lending some players to even the sides and both teams displaying fantastic handling and running lines.
Opposition player of the match: Evie
Coaches player of the match: Sophie
Both for their fantastic running and commitment in tackles and their communication which was fantastic.
