Congratulations to the four young Lichfield players who have recently been selected for Leicester Tigers U18 Academy. The club has a proud record of developing local talent, and this is continued through the success of this group.

Joe Woodward (pictured), Oscar van der Venter, James Lewis and Jack Hurst will all have the opportunity to experience elite level training and the club looks forward to seeing all these lads continue to develop.

Well done to both the lads and their coaches. Everyone at Lichfield RUFC wishes them the very best of luck as they continue on their rugby journeys and obviously we hope to continue to see them at Cooke Fields whenever possible.

In addition to his selection for Tigers, Joe Woodward has been invited to attend the England U18 Development Camp. Joe has been at the club since joining the U11s and he is one of four Woodward children to represent the club. Younger siblings Isaac and Erin are part of the junior sides at Cooke Fields, whilst older sister Ellie played for Lichfield (and was also part of England U18 training camps) before heading off to university. Many congratuations to the whole Woodward family!
