We have a reasonably full weekend of rugby for you at Cooke Fields and ‘’around the grounds’’, but then it will drop off noticeably as we enter May. So, please keep your support coming.

This Saturday, the men’s 1st XV are at home to unbeaten Lutterworth in the last 8 of the national Papa John’s Regional 2 Championship, KO 3pm. This is a two leg match – away Saturday (3/5) – with the winners meeting Rochdale or Middlesborough the following week (10/5). The 2s are at Burton on Friday Night for the semi final of the county Centenary cup, KO 7.30pm, there is a definite desire to get to the final again amongst the group !

We are having lunch as usual on Saturday, meet 1315 hrs, book your seats with Dave Lewis, please, cost £15. It might not be the last home game, however, let’s have a good turn out just in case.

Before the game, there will be a presentation to the girls’ U14s squad of their recently won Staffs cup trophy – on the patio at about 1445 hrs. There will be a mixed age group guard of honour this week to accompany the 1s out.

On Sunday, the colts county cup final takes place at Cannock RFC, just off Stafford Road Huntington, KO 2.30pm. It’s a match up against Wolverhampton, the final of 2 years ago.
