41 Years ago Today, Lichfield 1XV played London Welsh in the 4th Round of the John Player Cup...Were you there..??
Lichfield had beaten Kettering (9-11), Bromsgrove (4-8) and Norwich (20-3) in previous rounds, only to loose 24-6 to the London Welsh side who were subsequently knocked out by their Scottish counterparts in the Quarter Finals (6-15). Bristol went on to beat Leicester 28-22 in the Final at Twickenham.
