We are delighted to announce the appointment of James Hitchen as our Player Development Coach, supporting the pathway from Colts to Senior rugby. James will play a key role in helping our young players develop the confidence, skills, physicality, and understanding needed to make a successful step into the senior game. Working closely with both the Colts and Senior coaching teams, his focus will be on creating a smooth and supportive progression that strengthens player development, improves retention, and continues to build a strong future for the club both on and off the field.

Head Coach Paul Hurst said: “James was a vital part of the successful transition of a number of talented younger players who represented both the 1st and 2nd XV last season. Having someone who understands the needs, challenges, and development required for players to step into senior men’s rugby is invaluable. His support and guidance have already had a hugely positive impact, and we’re delighted to see him continue in this important role.”
