For those who knew and played with Roddy, they will know what a fierce competitor he was throughout his decades playing at the Club - from the Juniors, Colts through to the Senior Teams, he was a regular touring Vet and most recently a Club Vice President.

A captain, mentor, devoted Clubman and friend, he will be sorely missed by everyone at the Club who knew him…go well Roddy.

The Family has shared the following details around the Funeral which is on Tuesday 3rd June and have extended that all are welcome to join them to pay their final respects and to celebrate his life.

The Church service will be held at St Johns Church. The Vicarage / St Johns Hill. Lichfield WS14 0JB

· Wake at Lichfield Rugby Club. Cooke Fields. Tamworth Rd. Lichfield. WS14 9JE

· Approx 13.45pm onwards

Rod was a proud family man, devoted farmer by trade, keen rugby player in his younger years, persistent golfer, and all round top bloke. Come celebrate his life, and raise a glass with us, all welcome.
