The main game, which did take place over the weekend was the women’s Red team at Kenilworth, and with it a victory, which took them to second place in the league, partly as that was the only fixture to survive the weather. Kenilworth led 10-0 after twenty five minutes before the Red’s top try scorer (Karolina Kacirkova) claimed two tries before half time to bring it back to all square. Lichfield’s other ‘’go to’’, Molly Draycott, put us in front only for the hosts to draw level on the hour (15-15). The last quarter went our way with Amy Edmondson & Katie Gregory claiming scores, both converted by Draycott, to bring us a valuable bonus point victory by 29-15.

The concept of Friday Night Lights proved itself to be popular again with a decent sized crowd and a win for the the U16s against Shrewsbury by 38-7. The next one will be on 13 December with the women’s Green team hosting Aston Old Eds.
