Firstly I would like to thank all Parents and Players who showed Impeccable Respect When Remembering those who shall Never be Forgotten during the 2 Minutes Silence on Sunday.

(Also a special thank you to Harry Syson and Theo Parsons who were there to support their mates.. Thanks boys it was noticed by your mates and much appreciated).

Match Report:

It was great to welcome our local rivals "Tamworth" to Cooke Fields for the final group game of the U13's Staffordshire Cup.

The game was played in great spirit and this was reflected by both sets of parents and players throughout match. Probably the largest and loudest crowd this year. ???

Although the end scoreline shows an emphatic win.. the "Boys in Green" were made to work hard against a much bigger Tamworth side.

Lichfield showed that the hard work they have been putting in during the Wednesday "Breakout" training sessions is really starting to turn us into a team that can perform and execute our plans against any opposition. The tactical awareness and improved technical skill sets were the difference between the 2 sides and it was great to receive massive compliments from the Tamworth Coaches and parents at the final whistle.

As Captain Ollie Williams said post match "We were EXCEPTIONAL in all aspects of play today boys" ?

Well said Skipper... But we are not there yet! I am looking forward to another great training session on Wednesday to further improve our skills.

I am pleased to confirm that we are now in the last 4 Play Offs... Semi Final...Lets work hard now Guys.. Nothing should be taken for granted... It is ALL their to play for... Starting Wednesday!

Well done lads it was thoroughly enjoyable to watch for all Coaches and by the sound of all the cheering .. The crowd enjoyed it too!

The lads also wanted to say a big Thank You to "Jenn Mcgregor" for supplying the celebratory Post Match Cup Cakes... I know Hariz ate most of them LOL.... ACE
