Thanks to great numbers we were able to field 2 Teams for the first time this season...This is excellent news for the age group moving forwards..

A short trip down the M42 and we arrived at Berkswell & Balsall in good spirits and raring to go.

Lichield started strong and after winning a scrum against the head in the opponents 22 ..some quick hands saw a the boy's first try within 5 minutes from the Kick Off.

Unfortunately a few missed tackles later B&B levelled the score at 5 all and we thought that this could turn out to be a tough day at the office. This was not to be..... as Lichfield grew into the game their confidence blossomed and we saw some fantastic rugby played.

The forwards were outstanding and in their first game as fully contested scrums and they completely dominated the opposition. This in turn gave the backs the platform to play and oh boy did they!

Fantastic team spirit and brilliant rugby saw Lich run in a total of 12 trys on the day with only 2 conceded.... A very happy start to the New Year!

I know that the travelling supporters enjoyed it as much as the coaches.. (Thank You Parents ?)
