Lichfield U13s Lions had to dig deep to battle both their opponents Walsall and the weather conditions in a wet and windy match.

A tight opening 15-20 minutes saw Walsall have the better of the contest with both sides struggling to get to grip with the conditions.

Lichfield put some strong defence and managed to limit their losses to the one try throughout a period of sustained pressure from the visitors.

Lichfield grew into the match and got their expansive passing game going to turn the momentum back towards the hosts.

As the game went on, Lichfield came to dominate proceedings and eventually score six tries in total as their resilience wore the visitors down.

A great performance from all the players in tricky conditions.
