Lichfield u13s Girls teamed up with Stafford u13’s Girls to play against a combined Telford, Shrewsbury & Oswestry girls side, playing 3x15 minutes games

An hours training before the game bought the girls together really well, the combined Stafford & Lichfield coaches running some great drills and position training. The girls gelled brilliantly.

Playing 12 aside full contact from the off Lichfield & Stafford landed the first try inside 2 minutes thanks to some great passing.

Dry weather and a soft pitch meant for great conditions even if the wind had other ideas. Despite the wind both teams showed confident handling throughout the games and both sides played intelligent passing to exploit the wings scoring some great tries.

Lichfield & Stafford controlled long periods of play and showed fantastic teamwork holding the line, protecting the defensive areas and showing real strength.

Both teams played brilliant end to end rugby, great tackling, rucking and mauls throughout. It would be difficult to single out anyone player, all the girls gave 100% throughout.
