Stafford/Lichfield 10 - 15 Tamworth/Leek

This was the Under 14's first outing playing 15 aside on a full size pitch. Although a daunting task our girls once again teamed up with Stafford and played a really tight and competitive game.

Around Staffordshire at present Tamworth boast the biggest girls section at Under 14's however with the work the coaches and the team have done over the summer we are starting to look like serious contenders once again. Our numbers are growing really well as our Stafford's and hopefully some day we can celebrate this with an actual Lichfield vs Stafford fixture.

Tamworth had previously trained over the summer on a full size whereas for both Lichfield & Stafford this was the girls first experience. Within 5 minutes Stafford & Lichfield broke the deadlock.

Unfortunately I cannot offer much more commentary after this as I had to take Jessica to A&E!

It is still important to generate the match report so the club can see how far we have come, the comments from the referee, our coaches and the Stafford coaches are all really positive, this score line against a seasoned team is a fantastic achievement and hopefully a sign of more to come.
